Summer Recreation Program

starts Monday June 2th, from 9:00 - 3:00 PM

at Quartzsite Senior Citizen's building.

Larry Kester Ball Field and Town Skate Park

The Town of Quartzsite offers year round recreation programs for youth and adults.
The Programs began with summer recreation for students.Then the library began an After School Kids' Day
on early dismissal day for elementary school age children. Both the summer recreation and Kids' day programs are still being given.

TAE KWON DO

 
   

Bob Reid, Arizona Western College Instructor for Tae Kwon Do classes is teaching in Quartzsite. Sixteen children and adults attend his class. He has begun a new direction for Quartzsite youth that provides a activities and a focus for young people to build character, strength and discipline. Bob is a dedicated teacher who cares about his students. He does not miss a class and his students count on him. Tae Kwon Do classes in the summer are a harbinger of change for Quartzsite. It is no longer a community whose sidewalks roll up in the summer. By providing programming, Arizona Western College has helped the Quartzsite community to grow.
